A Message from the Headteacher, Mrs Danielle Austin
It is a real privilege to be Headteacher of Hutchinson Memorial, and I am delighted to welcome you to our school community. As a village school with a strong Christian foundation, we are proud of the warm, family feel that makes Hutchinson such a special place to learn and grow.
For me, a happy school is one where every child feels safe, loved, listened to and valued for who they are. I want every child who walks through our doors to know that they belong, that their voice matters and that they can achieve wonderful things. Just as importantly, I want our families to feel welcomed, included and part of our school journey. We know that children flourish when home and school work together, and I am passionate about building those strong, positive relationships.
At the heart of our school is our Christian vision, inspired by Jesus’ words:
“Love one another. As I have loved you.”
These words are more than a message; they are at the heart of how we want to live and learn together. They remind us to show kindness, look after one another, celebrate our differences and treat everyone with compassion and respect.
I believe that childhood should be filled with curiosity, discovery, laughter and opportunities to shine. We want our children to enjoy coming to school, develop a genuine love of learning and discover new interests and talents. Through an inspiring, enriched curriculum, we encourage children to be brave, ask questions, embrace challenges and develop the resilience and confidence to face an ever-changing world.
Our dedicated staff work hard to make every day meaningful, creating opportunities for children to grow academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. We celebrate the little steps as well as the big achievements, recognising that every child’s journey is different and that every success matters.
